Web Designers convert text documents to HTML
format for publishing on the Web. A web designer is
primarily concerned with a sites layout, look-and-feel,
graphic design and content. Designers need to
be familiar with tools such as Flash, Fireworks,
Dreamweaver, JavaScript as well as a multitude of
other web text and image editors.
What does a Web Developer do?
Web Developers are more concerned with what
function the site will accomplish and the technical
structure behind its conception. Developers would
generally be involved in more of the data intensive
elements. Developers also need to have programming
skills in order to integrate the sites with existing
systems, e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript, VB.NET and more.
