Aaron - Diploma of Information Technology (Network Engineering)

Andrew - (Diploma of Information Technology (Network Engineering)

Whilst studying our Diploma of Information (Network Engineering) at Computer Power, Andrew decided to work part time and commenced in a Help Desk Analyst role at a major Australasian IT Service company in New Zealand. In just over twelve months, Andrew has been promoted to a fulltime position in the technical helpdesk area and is regarded by the company as a high performing achiever.




Chris - Diploma of Information Technology (Network Engineering)

Chris has been working for the past eleven years a qualified automotive engineer.

He has always had an interest in computers and decided to continue working while he was studying part-time at Computer Power. Chris went for an interview for a support engineer role at an IT employer and was hired and starting work within a month of completing his last module. Chris has found his “ideal job” and is really enjoying the combination of help desk and on-site visits to clients.





Wayne - Certificate IV in Information Technology (Client Support)

Wayne worked as a panel beater for twelve years in two Wellington businesses. He then gained a job nearer to home at a tyre manufacturer as a machine operator before the company advised all staff that they were being made redundant.

Knowing that he would need to find another job, Wayne decided the time had come to get a qualification in IT. He continued working and studied part-time at Computer Power completing his course three months ahead of schedule with an A average. He was awarded DUX at the graduation which recognises his hard work and the high grades he achieved throughout the time he studied.

Wayne secured a role in the call management area for a major service provider. In less than twelve months in his role, he was promoted to second level help desk.





Bill - Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development)

Bill had a successful career working for a rail company for 21 years in a variety of positions from accounting support roles to management roles.

He decided to retrain and enrolled with Computer Power to complete a Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development). Before he graduated, Bill began his job search and through his network, he has secured a role as a Test Analyst and is enjoying being able to use the new skills he has learnt.
