Accommodation Options

There are a range of great accommodation options available to international students requiring a place to live while studying at Computer Power. Homestays, flats, hostels and shared apartments all offer a unique experience.

Computer Power stands ready to assist students in identifying the housing options that best suits. In addition, we have prepared the following reference documents for students that wish to locate their own place to live.

Computer Power Institute recommends “Homestay” (where students have the opportunity to board locally with New Zealand families”) as an excellent way to adjust quickly to life in New Zealand and learn about “Kiwi” customs. If you require Homestay Accommodation, please notify the Institute directly or your Agent.

You will be provided with a Homestay application form to complete. The form asks you to identify your likes and dislikes so that we can work with our Homestay Agent to identify a host family which best suits your requirements.

Under 18?

International students under the age of 18 will receive additional support in identifying and monitoring their housing arrangements to ensure a safe and positive experience.

All international students aged under 18 years are required by law and the Institute to live in a “Homestay” selected and monitored by a nominated Accommodation Agent, in a “Designated Caregiver” situation (Parental permission required) or with an immediate family member aged over 18 years.
